The Book Surgery at Parent’s Evening on Thursday 19th October.
One of our local bookshops from Crouch
End, Pickled Pepper Books, who have organised several successful author events
with our school, were on hand to help parents and carers with suggestions of
titles to encourage a love of reading for pleasure in reluctant readers, as
well as to recommend newer titles for keen readers to try.
We are pleased that many parents and
carers came along to discuss with the book seller the various books on offer
and avail of his experience when choosing for all types of readers. There was
an atmosphere of real excitement about the books with many delighted children
going home with a new book.
